Mulan is a fictional character featured in Disney's animated film, *Mulan* (1998), making her first appearance in this movie. She is a young woman living in ancient China who disguises herself as a man to take her father's place in the army, preventing him from having to serve due to his age and condition.

She goes by the name "Ping" during her time in the army. Through rigorous training, she proves her worth and becomes a skilled warrior. Mulan eventually saves China from the Hun invasion, displaying bravery and intelligence, ultimately becoming a respected hero.
